Powder is super important when it comes to makeup; it sets your foundation and can help make any look more matte. While I wouldn’t call myself a powder addict, there are a select few that I swear by, and I’ll be sharing them with you today. Let’s jump right in!

1. Rimmel London Stay Matte — $4

This is by far my favorite powder. I use it almost every day on top of whatever foundation I use. I’m kind of obsessed with it. I like the translucent color the best because I can wear it no matter what color my skin is at the time. I love this powder because it gives the best matte finish without looking one dimensional. This powder has gotten all kinds of attention in the makeup world because it’s super cheap, but it’s great quality! If you haven’t checked this powder out yet, you definitely should!

2. MAC Mineralized Skin Finish — $32

MAC MSF is known for being a fantastic powder with a satin matte finish that looks super natural. This powder has great coverage for not being a powder foundation and helps blur imperfections and create a fantastic blank canvas for any look. It’s a little more on the pricy end, but it lasts forever because you need so little of it. It’s also helpful that you can get color-matched at MAC to find your perfect shade, plus there are 15 shades to choose from, from powders to bronzers. If you’re looking for a good high-end powder, check out MAC MSF!

3. Maybelline Fit Me! — $5

Maybelline Fit Me was one of my favorite powders for a very long time. I love it for setting under the eyes because it’s fairly powdery as opposed to being smooth and creamy like some other powders. These also come in a huge variety of shades to choose from, so it’s incredibly easy to find your right shade. All the shades are also numbered, so if you already have the foundation or concealer, you can use the corresponding numbers to find your right powder, or vice versa. Check out this awesome powder if you’re looking for an affordable buy!

4. L’oreal Paris True Match — $7

L’oreal’s True Match line is one of my favorites! I love their foundations, powders, blushes, and bronzers. The entire line is affordable, but comes at great quality. This powder is super creamy and applies to the skin flawlessly. It has decent coverage and comes in a huge variety of shades. It has a beautiful, natural finish that makes your skin look like skin as opposed to looking flat and powdered. If you’re looking for a good powder that comes at a reasonable price and comes in loads of shades, this is the powder for you!

5. NYC Smooth Skin — $3

Finally, we have the cheapest of the bunch. NYC Smooth Skin pressed powder is one of my favorites because it’s so affordable yet it’s amazing quality! It can come off a little powdery, but it’s great for under the eyes or for the entire face. It only comes in three shades, one of which is translucent, so you can use it at any time of the year! It’s a great buy if you’re just stepping into the world of powder or are just looking for something to set your foundation. Try this powder out!
