I love sweaters.

This year, I’m so stoked to pull the chunky sweaters out of my off-season drawers and hang them in my closet. Sweaters are almost always on-trend for winter, and this year is no exception. Get ready for some knits, because I’ve put together a list of the best sweaters that all come in under $50. These sweaters are affordable and fashionable, and can easily be found at your local mall!

1. Forever 21: Open-Knit Geo Pattern Sweater — $22.90

I just bought this sweater today, and let me tell you, I searched high and low to find it on Forever’s website. I’m in love with it. I will warn you, it’s not one of those sweaters that’s going to keep you warm. Anything called “open-knit” is not going to keep you warm. However, this sweater looks great with leggings and riding boots. If you’re in the same region as me (Southern California), then you will love this sweater. If you’re in an area where it gets cold, simply layer it with a coat or put a basic long-sleeved shirt underneath. Either way, this sweater is sure to be a win!

2. Brandy Melville: Izabella Sweater — $47

Brandy Melville has become one of my favorite stores since I’ve discovered it in the past few months (yes, past few months—I’ve been living under a rock). It’s a great place for girls of average size to find their clothes because everything is one size, so it either fits or it doesn’t. Everything is super stretchy and comfy, so I’ve been loving their clothes. This is the priciest sweater on the list, but I’m excited to share it with you. It’s so soft. It’s also a very generic shape, so it’s generally flattering on everyone. If you’re willing to spend a little more on your knits, go for this one!

3. Wet Seal: Classic Slub Knit Sweater — $24.90

This is one of my favorites on the list. I’ve been loving Wet Seal lately, and this sweater is no exception. I love the color, I love the shape, I love the length of the sleeves (I’m really picky about my sleeves). Just like the picture shows, you can layer this sweater with a leather skirt or throw it on over jeans with combat boots. It’s super versatile, which I appreciate. If you haven’t checked out Wet Seal for your clothes, give them a try! Their clothes, including this gorgeous sweater, are wonderful!

4. Charlotte Russe: Open Weave Cable Knit Sweater — $24.99

This sweater is similar to the first, but it’s got some cable knit to it (that twisty-looking weave) which I think makes it really unique. It still has that diamond pattern, which makes it look interesting and helps chop up some of the bland shape that sweaters can have. I love having a bit of pattern to my sweaters, so this one is perfect for me. I’m typically not a cable-knit kind of girl, but I love that the cable is just a small detail in this sweater. Charlotte Russe has a great selection, so check them out for your sweaters this season!

5. H&M: Oversized Sweater — $19.95

Last but certainly not least, we have H&M with their oversized sweater. I love this sweater because it’s just so comfy! If you’re looking for a sweater with comfort as the main factor, pick this one! This sweater is also the cheapest on the list, which is a plus. For all that this sweater has to offer, it’s a great value! Go pick it up the next time you’re at H&M!

If I haven’t proved to you that I’m a sweater addict yet, hopefully I’ve at least inspired you to purchase some sweaters of your own. Happy shopping!
