Question: What are the best BB creams?
BB cream has gained some serious popularity in the past three years or so. There are so many on the market that it’s hard to know which ones are really worth it and which ones are not. I’ll be judging each of these BB creams on their coverage, their SPF, the way they sit and wear on the skin, and the range of shades. Here are several of my favorites, and they’re all from the drugstore! These BB creams rock. And the best part? They won’t break the bank!
1. Rimmel London 9 in 1 BB Skin Perfecting Super Makeup
This is, hands down, my favorite BB cream. It’s got amazing coverage, it feels great on the skin, and it’s got SPF 25. I like to apply it with a flat top brush, or my RealTechniques Expert Face Brush. The only downside is that there are only three shades — light, medium, and dark. However, I have the medium shade and it works for me when I’m self-tanning, and even when I’m on paler side. Overall, this BB cream is my favorite.
2. Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream
Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream lands number two on my list. I recently purchased this based on a recommendation from my cousin, and being that it contains salicylic acid, it helps to treat breakouts. It has decent coverage when applied with fingers or a brush, and it sits well on the skin. It does need to be set with a powder, but it has a natural finish which is nice. It also comes in fives shades, which is a huge plus. It has no SPF, however, which is the only con of this BB cream.
3. L’oreal Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream
L’oreal’s BB cream comes in at number three on my list. This BB cream has skin-matching particles in it that burst when applied to your skin. It comes in four shades and the color pigments adjust to your skin tone, which is awesome. I like how this sits on my skin, and it’s got enough coverage to even out the skin tone and cover imperfections. The only downside is it has no SPF, so sunscreen is necessary underneath.
So, there are 3 of my favorite BB creams!
