If you’re petite, you know how difficult it is to shop for your size! Sometimes jeans don’t fit the right way and hemlines need to be adjusted. You probably put more money into alterations than you do into your actual purchase. Some articles of clothing might even swallow you whole. Thankfully, this is why petite styles were invented.

I myself am petite, and my absolute favorite place to shop is J. Crew. Their clothes are extremely cute and come in petite sizes! So, for someone like me who normally wears a Petite XXS, this is my go-to fashion stop. Yes, I know, I’m really tiny! Another one of my favorites is LOFT. They carry petite sizes as well. Plus, their pants come in three different fits, all suitable for petites. You have the Julie, the Marisa, and the Zoe. Each are specifically designed to fit petites perfectly. Anthropologie is another petite-friendly store and offers a ton of unique styles and one-of-a-kind pieces. Here are some more places to shop for petite styles:

Petite Clothes

Fashionistas on a budget: Kohl’s, Macy’s, JC Penny, and Dillards offer a great selection of petite clothing at affordable prices.

For my petite mamas: Motherhood Maternity offers a lot of petite clothing options so you and your baby bump can look stylish all day, every day.

For denim (high end): 7 For All Mankind, Citizens of Humanity, AG Adriano Goldschmied, Paige Denim, J Brand, and JOE’S Jeans are some great brands to start with for high-end, petite denim.

For denim (low end): Forever 21, 6pm.com (a great place to get designer duds for cheap!), Macy’s, Gap, Old Navy, Kohl’s, and JC Penny have a wide range of options at the right price point.

Petite Shoes

I’m almost 100% positive that if you’re petite, you most likely have small feet too. So, it’s probably difficult to find shoes that come in your size. But of course, some shoe places do carry small sizes.

For sizes 5 and under: Nordstrom, Aldo (only carries size 5), DSW, Bloomingdales, Zappos, Shoes.com, and Cinderella of Boston are just a few places that carry smaller sizes.

So although being small has it’s downsides, who says you can’t still shop like everyone else?
