Question: How often should I shave my legs?
Answer: Unfortunately, there’s no book of rules for this dilemma. However, you aren’t alone in pondering this topic. Many women dislike shaving, since it can be a hassle to meet the expectations of society (aka having perfectly smooth skin at all times). Whether or not the length of your leg hair is a problem is up to you. If you are perfectly comfortable with how long it is, then there isn’t a problem. Obviously leg hair is very natural and everyone grows it. Some women don’t mind embracing their natural hair, whereas other women wouldn’t be caught dead with even the slightest bit of stubble. It all depends on what you are wearing and, of course, what you are comfortable with. I would recommend shaving a least once every week or two, unless it’s date night! (Then you’ll probably want to make the exception and shave.)
There are a few ways to make your shaving regimen more clean cut and long-lasting—meaning that ultimately you won’t need to shave as often! Try moisturizing daily; once or twice should do the trick. Personally, my favorite body lotion is Curel.
Another suggestion would be to purchase multi-blade razors instead of single or double blade. More blades means a cleaner cut, and a cleaner cut means less shaving for you! Also, use a fresh blade as often as you can to ensure a sleek result.
There are always other treatment methods such as sugaring, waxing and laser removal if you really feel like getting down to the nitty-gritty and attacking those roots. Pinterest has a lot of DIY scrubs, sugars, and waxes you can concoct in the privacy of your own home if you want to do some exploration.
But remember, the best thing you can possibly rock is confidence! So don’t worry about whether or not other people think your leg hair is too long. If you don’t think it’s a problem, it sure isn’t!
