Question: What should I wear with a slouchy beanie?
Answer: There’s no denying that a beanie can add a great deal of personality to any outfit. So, how does one pull off this comfy trend? Here’s a list of our favorite ways to style them:
If you’re going for more of an edgy look, leather jackets and dark colors will be your new best friends! An easy way to recreate this look is by combining a flowy skirt of your choice with and edgy jacket or cardigan. Although, you’ll probably want your outwear to be more fitted and structured if your skirt is flowy, and vice versa (tighter skirt & loose top). Black and neutral shades definitely add a lot of edge and can be carried out well together.
Styling your hair with braids or curls can offset the edginess of the beanie. If you’re really daring, you can even add a bold lip to draw more attention to your face. Skirts and blouses with lighter and brighter colors will generate a girly vibe.
Ashley Tisdale nails this chic look by incorporating girly accents and rocking a neutral color palette. A similar combo can easily be worn during the spring/summer.
Cute & casual
This look is the perfect way to stay both trendy and relaxed. Roll up a pair of jeans (or use boyfriend jeans) and pair with a graphic tee. Outfits with beanies always tend to look more complete when there are layers—so add a cardigan, denim shirt/jacket, etc. As far as footwear goes, lace up some sneakers, short booties, or flats!
One of the latest fads is tying a plaid or flannel shirt around the waist. This will add a lot of flare and personality to your outfit, and if you get cold, you can always just slip it on!
Now that June is here, it’s time to prepare your wardrobe for sky-high temperatures. But don’t worry; this doesn’t mean that you can’t pull off a pair of trendy boots! You can totally rock some combat boots, canvas boots, or even a cute pair of booties! If your feet get too hot, just roll down the sides of your boots to expose more of your ankles. Simple as that!
To be honest, beanies can work with many different outfit variations—so don’t be afraid to do some experimenting!
