I’m sure you have all seen the pictures of fashionistas rocking a pair of Nikes a lot on Pinterest these days. I don’t know about you, but I love sneaker style. However, there are some “rules” to follow when pulling off this look, unless of course you’re like Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen who can pull off anything. I’ve searched through the internet for some of the best ways to pull of this casual, chic look, and I’ve come up with some helpful styling tips for mastering the trend.

How to pull of sneaker style:

1. Wear Cropped Pants

This trend tends to look best with a cropped pant or boyfriend jean. Wear pants that hit just above your ankles in order to show off your sneakers without adding extra bulk to your outfit. The shoes give a more casual vibe to the whole ensemble.

2. No Socks Allowed

Skip the socks with this look, unless they are super low and you can’t see them. And since you probably won’t be doing any actual running, there’s no need to worry about your shoes smelling.

3. Wear All Black

This look works really well when you want to showcase a really colorful running shoe. Set against black, sneakers really pop. Also, wearing all black always looks chic, so you’ll basically look put together no matter what.

4. Rock Them with a Dress

Pair sneakers with a flow-y dress for the ultimate casual look. Wearing a flow-y dress instead of a tight one complements the running shoes. Also, pick a dress that either hits mid thigh or above the knee. A lower hemline can make you look shorter and too dressy.

Follow these rules and flaunt fabulous sneaker style this season. How will you wear the trend?
