Question: What should I wear to a bonfire party?
Answer: Bonfires have to be one of the best social gatherings out there. Not only is it a great way to connect and create new friendships, but it also gives us all an excuse to break out the marshmallows. There are countless ways to dress yourself for a good ol’ summer bonfire (without looking too dressy, of course)
1) A comfortable pair of high-waisted denim shorts. Trust me: denim is going to be your best friend when it comes to outdoor activities. They’re a sturdy material that can take on all of mother nature’s natural messes…dirt, to be exact. Plus you won’t be constantly worried about whether or not that chocolate s’more will come out in the wash—with denim, it usually does.
2) The cute tank top. It’s summer and there’s fire, so it’s bound to get more than just a little toasty. I suggest wearing a cute flowy top with a subtle pattern. (Pictured below)
3) Boots. Let’s just say that you really don’t want to trip on some firewood and get a splinter. Ouch!
4) A light-weight cardigan. This is optional, but it also ties the whole outfit together. A simple and neutral light-weight cardigan will not only give you the a flawless look—it’ll also protect you from the summer breeze as you move a little further away from the fire. It won’t cause you to overheat, and it’ll leave you super comfortable.
